Introducing new councillors to their roles and responsibilities within the council and allowing experienced councillors to develop their skills and knowledge.

This module covers the fundamentals of the role of councillor and is recommended as an excellent starting point for new councillors.

Covers:

• The role of a town and parish councillor
• Getting involved locally
• Meetings of the Council
• Making informed and lawful decisions
• Interfacing with the community
• Council as an employer
• Understanding the Clerks role

This module lasts up to 90 minutes using the Zoom platform at a fee of £50 + VAT per person  (or £35 + VAT per person per module if your council is a member of your local County Association that has appointed Mulberry and Co as service provider – currently Surrey & West Sussex CALCs)
